Breaking News: S.A. Broto

As you probably already noticed, we've had a change of our associations name to S.A. Broto. The main reason for this was to better express our new goals for this year.

Studying might be important, but that made us totally forget the importance of nutrition. We want to go back to a simpler time, where yoghurt with muesli was only a dream, breakfast shakes science fiction, and vitamin supplements a fantasy. The only real breakfast is a nice slice of bread.

Of course we want to support our members in achieving the goal of bread. Today, while the supplies last, you can get a free sachet of yeast to bake your very own bread (contact Jonathan Matarazzi). To help you get started a simple and fast bread recipe is included below:

Ingredients:

  • 350g flour
  • 1.5 teaspoon of salt
  • 360ml warm water
  • olive oil
  • 7g yeast (come and get it)

Mix the flour with the salt and yeast in a big bowl. Add the water and mix until it's fully mixed, the dough might feel quite soft. Put some clig film over the bowl and let it rest in a warm environment (4 hours for the best result). After that, preheat the oven at 220 degrees Celcius. Now cover a cake tin with olive oil, fold the dough two times and put it in with the open side up. Cover with clinf film and let it rest for another half an hour while the oven heats up. Now put the cake tin in the oven and bake the bread for about 45min, make sure to check your bread a couple of times and take it out of the oven when it's nice and brown on the outside. Make sure to let it cool for a bit before trying your delicious Broto bread.
