Committee Spotlight: EEMCS-Trip Committee

The EEMCS-Trip will take place in about a month. Let's see how all the preparations are going! Answers were given by Imke Verschuren, one of Proto's members in the committee.

What is the name of your committee and give a short description.
We are the EEMCS-trip committee, we organize an annual trip for all of the associations within the EEMCS faculty.

Where are we going this year? And how did you come up with that destination?
We are going to Budapest this year. We came up with the destination after doing a lot of research on nice cities in Europe and Budapest came out on top!

This trip always includes a decent amount of travel time, why?
Because we want to take everyone a little farther away from home and also because (if you travel in the right direction) the longer you drive, the cheaper the beer becomes ;)

Usually there are some activities in and around the city during the trip, what's on the schedule this time?
Budapest is famous for its bath houses, so obviously we will visit one of those. We will also visit the university and the parliament building, but apart from the more serious stuff we’re also organizing a pub crawl and there will be many more things to do.

What is, in your opinion, the most fun about this trip?
Getting to know new people from the other (and even your own) associations and definitely visiting an amazing city!

Hopefully the trip will happen next year as well! What would you like to see for future editions of this trip?
For future trips we hope to see even more people sign up for the trip because you’re really missing out on something great if you’re not going.

Do you have a nice anecdote or fact about the committee?
The board responsibles are terrible pub quizzers (but according to them the CP cafe is just bad at keeping score).
